It is silly and childish, yet still cute enough for a family movie. It is funny and cute that even little troubles cannot change this optimistic tune of the film. The movie is visually rich, owing to Chung-Hoon Chung’s cinematography, Lindy Hemming’s textured costume designs, and Nathan Crowley’s sprawling production designs. King perfectly conveys Dahls’s sly contempt for the upper class while building upon the mystery of Wonka in Neil Hannon’s strong songs.

While this is one of the strong points of the work, at times, the plot contradicts the message, causing the narrative to be slightly confusing. Although Paul king’s wonka is not as charming and captivating, it is still an enjoyable candy. This means that Timothée Chalamet puts in an impressively original and respectful reincarnation of Willy Wonka. Hugh Grant’s Oompa–Loompa overshadows everything else while having a great cast of supporters like Calah Lane, Paterson Joseph, Matt Lucas, and Mathew Baynton gives this film a lot of depth and fun.

In general, Wonka is harmless; it includes some winning elements that try to catch Dahl’s spirit. Nostalgia may have some value but it shouldn’t substitute crucial emotional scenes.”
